The Museum re-opens for the season on Monday 31st March.
Come and see this year’s new exhibitions - ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ on the impact of the First World War on the area, and ‘Hats Galore’ which has taken some of our best hats out of storage.
The Museum is run by an independent charitable trust, and its operations are not funded by national nor local authority. It therefore has to make a charge for admission and services.
Admission to the Museum in 2014 is £2.50 for adults, £1 for children and £2.00 for concessions (£6.00 for a family ticket covering two adults and up to four children).
The Museum galleries are open Monday to Saturday in season, 10.30am to 5.00pm (4.00pm in October). This year the Museum will close on Saturday November 1st, at the end of half-term.
The Resource Centre is open Monday to Thursday 10.00am to 12.00 noon and until 3.00pm on Wednesdays, except for the Christmas period. Other times can be arranged by appointment.
