Heritage Open Days

Saturday 8th September, 10.30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Explore your local museum for free! FREE entry to the museum as part of the national Heritage Open Days. FREE behind the scenes tours at 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. - there is no pre-booking and spaces are limited, so please arrive in good time on the day if you want to take part.

Refreshments in the walled garden and Farm Gallery, including home made cakes.

Museum Quiz Night

Monday 10th September, at the Creeks End Inn, 8 p.m. start

Our well-known quizmaster Leighton Elliott is organising another quiz night for the benefit of the museum, so get a team together, come along and exercise your brain! Up to 6 per team, entry £2 per person. There will also be a raffle during the evening.

A Face in the Crowd: Local Personalities and their Stories

at Harbour House, The Promenade, Kingsbridge

Open daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sundays)

Our regular biannual exhibition at Harbour House is an opportunity to show off more of our fascinating collection of local images. Find out how we followed 'a face in the crowd' through the collection, sometimes through several generations of local families. See our images of 'Remarkable Women' locally including Mrs. Sarah Mary Haynes. a pioneering female photographer, plus archive film of local fishing from the Storylines project, studio photographs, caricatures and much more ...
