What's On

Museums at Night Open Evening and BBQ

Saturday 18th May

6 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Our annual Open Evening and BBQ is coming around again, with live music from Fiddlers on the Green and locally sourced food and drink for the barbecue in our walled garden. Entry is free, but charges apply for food and drink. Come along and explore the museum after hours, and join us for a party in the garden!

Lantern Workshops

Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th May

11 a.m. - 4 p.m.*

Come and make a small lantern for the Fair Week Lantern Parade. You can make a lantern on your own or in a group, but booking is essential as spaces are limited. Groups may return on the second day to decorate or paint a lantern, or take them home to be painted. Lanterns will need to be collected from the Museum once dry. £3 per lantern to cover the cost of materials, please book and pay at the Museum.

*There will be a break for lunch between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. and a packed lunch may be brought to eat at the Museum.
